As the AI continues to progressively grow. The Silicon chips are going to play a major role in creation of such gadgets/systems. Imagine you have a super cool toy car which runs on silicon chip. These chips are like brains of your super cool toy car or your mobile or fridge or everything that has some sort of software inside it.
Now picture two teams , One is already really good at making it i.e. the West like Europe and America. But the other team i.e. East team like China and India is trying to catch up to it .And this competition is known as ” The chip war “.
Now , Why exactly is it a War ? These chips work as a building block for your everyday needs such as phones , tablets or your toy cars. Whoever can make the best out of these chips will be the winner as the base of these chips i.e. silicon is quite limited. And sometimes countries would not want to trade of either the mineral or the chips. As these chips play a very important role in IT sector and its growth.
The Good news is that scientists and engineers are working upon making chips available for everyone . They are setting up factories and what not to make them chips even smaller .
So even though there’s a chip war going on there”s a possibility that in near future chips will be available for everyone and the world might be a better place than now.
